VERY SLOW

my XP is freezing up, too many downloads by my son. CPU
shows 100% . What do I need to do?? HELP! Can't get thru

first of all many downloads would not make your computer run slow, many
installed programs running at your start-up yes.
go to Run -> (type) msconfig
then check what is being loaded along with your WXP
if you don't know what they are and are not sure what to unckeck, install
ad-aware to clean up your system from spies and crapware
