I WANT TO DELETE (YAHOO MESSENGER) and (MSN/WINDOWS MESSENGER) totally NOT
just un-install. I have an OLD P2 computer. I don't use any of them and they
are a nuisance on my computer. I want to remove the registry editor files of
said messenger services. Please advise me at my email address. THANK YOU
kindly.

Greeitngs,

You can remove MSN Messenger from the Add or Remove Programs. Windows Messenger can be
removed by clicking the Start button, then
click Run and type in (copy-paste if you like):
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Then click OK.
Messenger will then be uninstalled. For more detailed instructions and screenshots, go to,

Finally you can remove the following folders (if they exist):
\Program Files\MSN Messenger
\Program Files\Messenger
\Documents and Settings\<YOUR USERNAME>\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger

and the following registry keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MessengerServ ice
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MessengerSer vice
