Just switched from windows 98 SE (sm)

Hi, I just switched from windows 98 SE to windows XP on a new computer.
Here's my problem: On Windows XP, it's not reading several disks that I had
saved from my old computer with 98 SE, such as Quicken backup, a lot of
graphics, etc. Has anyone else had this same problem, and if so can you
please help me transfer my stuff to the computer with XP?

Also, what is the path for favorite places on XP? On 98 SE it was
c:windows\favorite places. When I paste to that path on this computer (XP),
a folder is created with fav. places, but my fav. places are NOT stored in
fav. places on the internet; the default fav. places are there...

What types of disks - floppy, CD, other?

In XP your favorites can be found at c:\documents and
settings\<name>\Favorites
