Restart after power fialure

[Hugh]

We had a power failure here last night, which of course
caused my system to shut down (poof!) without going
through the ususal shutdown routines. Is there anything I
need to do when I next boot up to avoid problems?

Absolutely nothing you can do but to power on and see what happens.
