Hi, I have recently downloaded Windows media player 11 and am now have
trouble playing videos in the player, AVI especially, but also WMV and other
formats. AVI refuses to play (says I need some sort of codec?). Most other
movies play but only the top right corner of the video seems to appear - it
is cut off somehow. I have tried changing the zoom levels, ect. which
doesn't fix the problem. Any suggestions on how to fix these issues?

Thanks

AVI videos are compressed. To play them, you have to have the correct codec
already installed on your PC. It's usually XVid and/or DIVX
(www.xvidmovies.org and www.divx.com)
