I have really messed up my pathways and folders and files
by trying to drag and drop folders to other places and to
add new files under some of the others, and have a
tremendous amount of duplication and misdirection.
I am trying to go back to a short time ago when I had
just installed XP. I have everything backed up and ready
to install. The date for the restoration was July 31 ...
and after installing all of the patches and updates on
that date. No matter which item I choose, the System
Restore denies going back to ANY points
I immediately do a marking for system restore everytime I
get ready to install a new program or make changes.
Why does System Restore keep denying going back to ANY
point?
I have uninstalled the software from current and want to
correct and reinstall everything.
IF I can finally go back to a date, when would it be safe
to use the Windows Update to get all of the numerous
patches and updates? I keep a log and have them written
down and could load them by using the URL for each one
and manually inputing the number of the item.
Any help appreciated.
