Hi i just refortmatted and im having an error that reads:

Manifest Parse Error: Invalid at the top level of the
document.

sxs.dll syntax error in manifest or policy file


if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.. thanks

That particular error message is indicative of a poor CD burn or
corrupt file image. The solution is to install Windows XP using
the original Microsoft Windows XP CD with the edge-to-edge
hologram image.

As Nicholas says it could well be a badly burned copy. If the original gives
you grief try cleaning your CD-Rom's laser lens or copy the CD to the HD and
install from there.
