Is it possible to find out which Messenger version is used by the other
party in conversations?

Greetings,

Not really. However, you try features like nudges, voiceclips and so on -- if the other
client doesn't support, it will notify you.

I agree, but I cannot see that the other party has a 7.5, and I have a 8.0.
like you suggested. Thanks anyway.

I requested this to be added to Messenger a long time ago, I may request it
once again.

If we'll request all features we would like to see in live messenger they
will have to hire more people :)

Hi,

Why? "Good suggestion thx" can be responded to by a script, don't need a human.

Yes, that is a good idea. But my question was general - is there ANY way to
find out the other party version (maybe Ethereal etc.).

Let me guess...
A script made by a human? One man. :)
Who will try to implement all "Good suggestions"? Another 28 scripts? Made
by humans? :P
