Live won't install.

I found a post about it, but it was never resolved. Anyway, I tried
installing Live Messenger from http://get.live.com/messenger/overview, and
it always ended up rolling back changes, then giving a failed error, with
code 1603. Obviosuly something has gone wrong, but I have no idea. I also
tried uninstalling 7.5 first, and same result. Here is what was in the event
viewer for the error: Product: Windows Live Messenger -- Installation
failed. I figure I'll just get 7.5 again, and wait till it asks me to
upgrade. Thanks for any input.

Hm... I got this error installing something else from ideas.live.com...
I think there is a problem with new .live downloads.
hope it soon it will be ok.

I have got the same problem. The install_messenger.exe file is corrupt. We
have to wait untill we can download a working file ...
