mov file

Why are my movies being downloaded as a mov file from my digital camera? I
want to have a mpg file and I don't know how. I have tried changing in file
types but it doesn't work. I'm trying to put my movies on Adobe Photo Shop
and it won't recognize mov types.

The QuickTime (.mov) movie format is used
by some cameras to create video clips.
