All of my video programs have started to have problems, displaying "not
responding" I think it may be caused by "Ogg DirectShow Filter" as this
shows on my task bar whenever the problem occurs. Nothing happens when I
click on this, and a search comes up empty. How can I remove this filter to
see if this is the cause? Thanks!

Is it listed in Add-Remove Programs?
Maybe the following sites will offer some clues:
http://www.illiminable.com/ogg/
http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=OGG_DirectShow_Filter_OggDS_OGM_Codec
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Ogg_DirectShow_Filters.htm
