I have downloaded some films in .avi and .mpeg formats and am trying to burn
them onto DVD. I used new, blank DVDs, and my laptop has a DVD writer drive
already installed. There is also a programme that was loaded onto my
computer, PowerProducer, which burns DVDs, but it never works. I am willing
to try new programmes and methods to burn these DVDs. Please could someone
tell me how to burn these DVDs..any tips or suggestions would be very helpful.

Thank you!

Have you ever managed to burn a DVD successfully on the notebook?

It may be a problem with the DVD drive itself, in which case you should
contact the notebook manufacturer, but in case it is the software, try a
trial version of Roxio (www.roxio.com) or Nero (www.nero.com) or
PowerDirector (www.gocyberlink.com) or WinDVD Creator (www.intervideo.com)

What exactly happens when you try to burn the DVD? Does it appear that the
drive does not recognize a blank disk, or it seems to be burning, but there
is nothing on the disk at the end or there is some other error?

I like to use aprogram called DVDclone2 to back up movies that I have
bought. you'll need to convert those files and then encode them. Use this
program it works great. I spend alot on Moveies LoL so I like to back them up
Just in case they are burned destroyed in a fire. Or john comes over and
steals them. Email me for more informationLoL
