my notebook comes with 188Mb ram, after upgrading to xp (
from Me ) i have noticed it's now at 120Mb, what had
happened?

It could be that since WinXP is a Graphics Hog your notebook is
diverting more System Ram to the Graphics Processor.
Sounds Good but I wouldnt bet the farm on it. Where are you reading the
120 figure from. Go to http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
and download their system info utility. It's free.

How did it come with 188 Mb? Well, it could be 192 Mb and 4 Mb used by the
graphics...

Are you sure about these 120 Mb? Check in Windows Explorer -> Help -> About
Windows and then tell us what it says in 'Physical Memory....'
