I have a new Dell Optiplex GX270 running XP Pro on a 2000
domain.

I cannot get file manager to load in any application for
either loading or saving files to a folder other than "My
Documents". This only happens when attached to the domain.

If you could give me any insights I would appreciate it.

Thank you

Sounds like the domain is pushing a policy that's locking you out of
anywhere other than My Docs. Best to check with the domain admin folks to
see about getting permissions changed.

sounds like the domain policy stops you from doing anything other than in My
Docs. Probably a good idea due to the fact that most people who post in
here are n00bs
