unable to delete files

I have some mpeg files on my computere which refuses to
delete. The right click option does not show a delete
field. When I click on the file and push the delete key
on keyboard nothing happens. Trying to delete with file
manager comes up with file error message " wrong path "
Any suggestions please.

try dragging them to the recycle bin and after that emptying it.

I tried dragging but they will not move. Can't even cut,
copy or move. They don't respond to the mouse clicks.

Try booting your pc with the WXP CD then go to the prompt and delete
them.
