My Cannon ZR700 camocorder is no longer recognized by the computer. Until
about a week ago I could capture video from camcorder to hard drive with
Windows software or with NeroVision Express. Now both the computer and the
software do not recognize the camcorder. I tried both DV and USB connections.
Driver for fire wire board is OK. I shut down and restarted both the computer
and the camcorder.
I also tried to install by scanning the hardware in Device Manager. All to
no avail.
My computer info:
MS Home XP, NeroVision Express 3 SE, 3.0 Ghz Intel, 1 Gb RAM, 250 Gb HD.
I's appreciate any idea of how to go about finding a solution to this problem.
Thank you, Adam

Try the same camera and same cable on a friend's PC to try to narrow down
the problem. Check the firewire cable carefully to ensure it's securely
connected at each end.
