If u already have a shortcut to IE, just right click on
it, Send To..Desktop(Create Shortcut).

if u dont have a shortcut to it already goto C:|Program
Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe and do the right
click>>creat desktop shortcut from here. :)

Creating a shortcut to IE will not give the "right click" attrributes =
that the actual IE desktop icon does, like "Internet Options". Best to =
open "Display", then the "Desktop" tab, then under the "General" tab, =
the box "Internet Explorer" should be checked. This will place the =
proper icon back on the desktop.

I have done that twice. No Big E!
I could make a shortcut but as you said that
won't give me the right click dropdown.
If anyone comes up with more ideas I would
appreciate hearing them.

Well... you could right-click the desktop, opt for a new shortcut, and
put the target as:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE"
The icon right-click properties area will be there.

Tweakui will also put standard icons on the desktop.

Please post back your results. It's very odd that you were able to get
the Recycle Bin via the display setting but not IE.
