MSN Messenger display pictures

I was using the new windows live messenger recently but although i could see
my on display pic i was never able to see other peoples pics. even when all
settings are to show them. other users cant see my display pic either even
though my settings are to show pictures.

I decided to revert back to version 7.5.0324 but im still having the same
problem with seeing poepls display pics and others seeing mine.

Any ideas?

****update***** this also happens when trying to send and view webcams.
prblem has only happened since using windows live messenger which has been
wiped form the computer

I have the same problem here with display pictures. Do you have Zone Alarm
installed? I'm willing to bet the problem lies with that. If you disable it
(just for a minute to test it) the problem will disappear (mine does
anyway).

yeah it does actually, s now i have no zone alarm on my pc, but cant
reinstall an earlier version as the truevector service is still in use for
somereason.
