consrant refreshing and slow performance

my computer startup and runs slower than usual. it takes
approx 15 mins to start up. normally it would takes
seconds. when it start up, the desktop and open files
refresh every minute or so. i've done a major
restoration to replace factory settings, disk clean up,
virus scan, and defragmentation. 85% of my hard drive is
free. help me please.

Try these things (about the slow performance):

1. Delete cache and cookies.
2. Run Adaware (www.lavasoftusa.com) - free
download if you don't have it.
3. Run chkdsk (checkdisk) tool; go to Help and Support for info on this
tool.
