Hi!

can't get my computer to go to hibernate or standby. I get the
familiar error message:
"The device driver for the keyboard device is preventing the machine
from entering sleep mode"

microsoft gives some hints:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;314118

article basickly says that some program attaches itself to the
standard keyboard driver (I8042prt.sys) and that's the cause.

How can I identify which program has done this ?

Take a look at your programs that are not or could be not compatabile
with WinXP.
