Does anyone know how I can copy the text in a message box. This could be
necessary if I get an error message and would like to report it verbatim to
get assistance.

Just hit ctrl-c then you can paste it. Note that the machine will beep when
you hit ctrl-c making you think the copy failed, but it does actually work.

Normally you can simply "swipe" the text with the cursor while holding
the right mouse button down. This will select the text (unless the
programmer did something to dialog box which prevents this ... rare but
can happen), then press CTRL-C to copy to Clipboard, then in email or
wherever, CTRL-V to paste.

The other thing I do is ALT-PrtScn the message box and paste into a word
pad document and email the document ... along withe some notes in the
doc describing the situation, what recently changed, etc. etc.

Hi Nick,

I tend to find the "ALT-Print Screen" method the best.
Its fast and you can paste directly into paint, or other
graphics package

Cheers

Jas
