Hi,

Of late, I have noticed that the system (HD) is active for
as long as 5 minutes after boot up and when I view the
Task Manager dont see any application running.

How can I resolve this issue ?
Also how can I boot where in the systems prompts me before
executing every single start up programs/commands ?

I checked that startup menu and that too does not have
anything abnormal other than the standard window
applications. I do have Norton Antivirus installed.

All help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Jay

Hi, Jay.

There are a couple of other places to look for programs that start
automatically. At the Run prompt, type: msconfig.exe

If you don't find anything suspicious here, you may need to look at the
*\Run* keys in the Registry.
