Got all updates and reinstalled all of Office 2000 and the first of three
PhotoDraw discs. Now disc two won't install. Pro keeps asking me to "insert
disc two" even though it is inserted. Any ideas? Thanks.

Sue Ellen, make sure that the PhotoDraw disk 2 is clean. You can wash it
with soap and water but be careful
drying as not to scratch it.

Thanks Rich, but the disc is clean. I now think it may be the cd-rom which
is fairly new. Do you know of a way to test the cd-rom to see if it has
failed? It appears to be working correctly.

Sue Ellen, try a few different CD's in the Drive. If they work Ok then
chances are it's not your Drive. Sometimes when
I install from a CD I have to send the Tray in and out a few times
before it works. Try that also.

This is starting to get pretty frustrating. Sometimes a CD gets copied,
sometimes not. But you're right, a moment ago I resent the tray in and the
CD got copied. Then I inserted a different CD and XP wouldn't copy it. After
inserting the screen came up and showed one folder and I tried to click on
it and it turned out to be a blank folder! The CD's are all Office (2000 or
2002) programs and the CD's are all in pristine condition. Could the cd-rom
be on the verge of failing or do you think it could be something else? Is
there a way to troublesoot this so I could know for sure?
