Boot up problems

I updated from ME to XP....should have done new
install...live and learn.
Now I have a ton of boot up issues. When I go into
Administrative Tools-Component Services-Event Viewer-
Applications....I have many errors and warnings. When
booting up I have to hit enter to get it to proceed. How
do I identify and correct each of these problems?
