When my computer boots it is opening the following file;
c/program files/ common. This contains a single file
called 'bin'. Can anyone tell me what this is and how do I
stop my computer from openning this up every time it boots.

Look in your "startup" folder and see what's there. Right mouse click
on Start button, Open, then click on "programs", then on "starup".

been there since I've had the computer and not caused any
problems before. The problem seemed to start when I loaded
Digital Image Pro. I have tried removing this however
this 'bin' file still opens.

Next step, run msconfig program to see what programs and services are
started... which ones would do what you see?

Beyond that I don't know. Something gets started, something displays
it. Check with Digital Image Pro web site and see if they know of anything.

The only program in the start up file is lotus quickstart.
This has been on the computer for ages and I'm sure it is
not causing the problem. Ant other ideas ?
