did XP always suck

I'm a bit of a Computer nerd. I build my own computers and
have never had a problem before XP. I'm a heavy gamer and
know exactly what is being put into my system. Everything
always works.... Till i got XP. I have reformatted my
drives, installed from scratch and with nothing other then
the WQDL or whatever windows uses to check it's drivers, I
still get the Blue screen. Within the first week of my new
hard drive and fresh install of XP I recieved 5 different
errors in system files.
NV4_MINI.SYS tracked it to nvidia
SYMEVENT.SYS norton system works 2003
USB0HCI.SYS usb2 controller
WIN32K.SYS windows own system file
NTFS.SYS NT file system used for hard drives.
After a week of playing around, blue screen still pops up
but now it won't even give me a bad file. Does windows
support help of course not. A device driver which they
cannot find a way of fixing it. Never had I had this
problem with my Linux, OS/2 or even the other windows.

If someone can give any help, all will be accepted. If you
believe I can be of help, by all means, I'm a nice guy.
