I've been running fine with Winows XP (Compaq 6010), but
this morning I when I reebooted after adding a program I
have only 4 colors available and the screen is way off
center of the monitor. When I go to display / property
setting only one screen size (640 x 480) and only 4 colors
are avaiable.
I may be in safe mode, but that's just a guess.
Based on what I had in the PC packaging, I booted from the
XP disk and got into recovery mode and ran chkdsk /r. But
now that has "hung" as it progresses from 0% to around
70%, then goes back to 50%.
I figure I'm in sad shape, but I thought I'd ask for some
help.
