Whilst I accept this is not directly an XP issue I would presume most people
who use XP have some sort of DSL connection via a router.

So here goes. I have the above ethernat modem which plugs into a LINKSYS
WRT54G Router. I set it all up and all seems to work fine. There is one
exception. Whether I am using a computer via wireless or by hardwire when I
try to download files from the internet the download gets part way through
then hangs. Internet explorer still operates and the modem does not lose its
connection. I am totally baffled. I rand my ISP who confirmed the account
settingd were right. The other odd thing is I do not get this problem with
my Alcatel speddtouch ADSL modem. Is this because the D-Link is pulling data
through faster than the connection can cope with???

If so can I throttle the speed down?

Are there any techys out there who have come across this problem?
