On windows media player I can't get sound it doesn't seem
to have set up properly from the the installation discs.

Hi Lawrie,

If you want to reinstall media player you can download it from Microsoft.
That may cure your problem ( or not ). If this does not work we need more
information. Do you here other sounds. Will a cd play. Can you click on an
MP3 and play it directly and anything else which may help diagnose the
problem
