View Full Version : Site Blocking

Is it possible for a site to block me from access based on my IP address (I
guess) The reason I ask is that there are 2 sites www.incredimail.com and
www.stylexp.org that my computer refuses to connect to. Internet Explorer
6.0 gives me an error message that the server cannot be found. However if I
use my wife's computer, there is no problem getting on. If I use an
anonymous surfing utility then I can connect with no problem. Any idea why
this is happening and how (if possible) to fix this would be appreciated

Just out of curiosity, what happens if you type in http://www
..websitename.com or whatever it is... just make sure to include the http://
in front.

I'm sure I am typing it in right. I checked everything on this machine. Shut
down my firewall ( because it has DNS caching), AV software, everything. I
have tried getting there from bookmarks as well as typing in manually. Any
idea what's going on???

OK, just wondered. Have you scanned with Ad-Aware or SpyBot? Or even better
both of them.
