Cleanmgr.exe

Anytime I try to run a disk cleanup my CPU usage jumps to
100% untilI end process cleanmgr.exe,and the disk clean
up never finishes. I have tried running the program just
on it's own and it still behaves this way. I want to be
able to perform a disk cleanup without having to download
another program to do it. I've tried running system
restore and that didn't work. Any other suggestions?
What is causing this problem?

Run attached file to remove the feature of disk cleanup that is hanging. MS knows about it but has no idea why.
