desktop background

i recently accidently downloaded a new background on to
my desktop and am not able to remove it. No matter what i
do it just stays on the desktop display. How can i remove
it?

If it is not going away using the selection for wallpapers in Display>
Desktop, it may have set itself up as a web component on the desktop. In
Display> Desktop, click the Customize Desktop button. On the next
screen, you should see a page tabbed Web. In the list box, uncheck
anything that looks like it might be that wallpaper. NOTE: You may need
to uncheck the box to Unlock the desktop items for them to be removed.
This box is on the same Display> Desktop> Customize Desktop> Web page.
