Have read 170086 about this problem in Windows Registry
but cannot find a null or missing value in the keys.
This started after I downloaded some 26 "Critical
Updates" to XP. Any suggestions appreciated.

Visit http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and scroll down
to Item No. 260. In the right column, click on "System32 Folder Opens
Upon Boot". Download this repair file and then run the repair.
