Excel application closes after 10 mins. in XP

My problem is that I have a new machine with XP Pro. I'm
using Office 2000 Pro SR-1 with Service Pack 3. I open
Excel and two or three Excel sheets. These sheets close
automatically after 10 minutes if I do not perform
activity in them. Any ideas?
