View Full Version : 3 1/2 floppy shortcut icon

This is to Curt, Alan, and Maureen. First, thanks to all
of you for helping.

I finally did succeed by right clicking a blank space on
my desktop, going to new>shortcut and typing in a:\. MS
filled in the 3 1/2 floppy and I did indeed get the
shortcut icon on my desktop. When I clicked the icon and
quickly clicked browse, it then asked me as I had hoped
to insert a 3 1/2 floppy. When I did, I got an "Open
Window" that said Look In 3 1/2 Floppy A and when I
inserted the disk, it listed the various folders in that
disk.

Compare that to clicking My Computer>3 1/2 floppy Drive

I'm glad this situation turned out well for you. Thanks for reporting
the details. Incidentally, you might find access more convenient if
you drag the shortcut down to the quicklaunch bar.
