I use a program called "ViceVersa Plus" to compare folder contents. It's
shareware but very versatile. http://www.tgrmn.com/
The Command Prompt window (start> Run> CMD) allows the use of the COM
(compare) command. Type COM /? for a summary of usage and a list of
available switches.
The old windiff.exe file from Win95/98/ME works in XP if you keep a copy
of the gutils.dll in the same folder as windiff.
I believe there is a similar XP tool on the retail copy of the XP CD.
It's in a folder that contains an assortment of tools.
