I have been running a 1080i Demo through my Media Centre PC which is an AMD
Semprom 3000, 1.5gig Ram, Nvidia 6200 Turbocache.

Now i am using Nvidia new DVD Decoder software the picture quality is
perfect and very smooth on my LG HD Telly. However, I do occasionally get a
noticable clitch when watching traffic pass on the screen.

What would solve these clitches? Better Graphics Card, CPU or more memory?
Hopefully not all of the above.

Thanks for your help in advance

Probably higher spec CPU. (Yeah, I know that one you probably didn't
want).... One of the new AM2's or the Intel Dual Core 2's that are just
released.

This seems a little extreme as for the most part the video is perfect and
processor time is not at 100% :(

Just bear in mind that an AMD Sempron is the bottom of the range of CPUs
from the AMD stable.
