Windows messenger v 8 error

[Boggled]

Hello,

i recently downloaded windows live messenger v. 8 and occasionally it will
crash when i try to sign in. A box pops up saying "Windows Live Messenger
has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience."

and it gives me the option to send error report or not.

and the data contained in the error report says

i tried the %appdata%\microsoft to no avail it still crashes...

all help is appreciated.
