I have a currupt program listed in my Add or Remove
Programs List found in Control. How do I remove this
unwanted listing as it cannot be removed simply by
requesting it?
In Me I used to use a TWEAK UI function but it does not
seem to be available in the Power Toys Version of Tweak
UI for XP.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Have you tired reinstalling the application and then seeing if you can
remove it.

If that doesn't work, you can try the McAfee web site for the trial version
of Uninstaller and see if you can use that to remove it.

I tried re-installing the software but it just listed an
identical second entry in the Add/Remove List which could
be removed as normal but not the original currupt one!
I will try the McAfee "Uninstaller" as you suggested.

McAffee Uninstaller did not work. The ghost listing in
Add/Remove does not show up in its analysis of removeable
programs.
Any other ideas out there for removing a file listing in
Add/Remove for a program which got currupted while being
uninstalled?

Finally found a way using the Registry Editor!
I located the appropriate key in
HKey_Local_Machine\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersi
on\Uninstall and simply deleted it!
Presto-magic....it was gone from my Add/Remove list!
