I have been told that if the video I recorded was 1 hour long, it will take
one hour to transfer it from my camera to my computer. Is this true? If not
, how do I transfer it faster. Are there any special equipment or software I
need to speed up the process?
Help please. A grandma whose grandson gave her a video camera :)

Yes it's true, it captures in real time and there is no way to speed it up.
