Help my taskbar buttons have disappeared.

Whenever I minimise a program, I don't get a taskbar button appearing on the
taskbar (I'm a Windows XP user). This is a real inconvenience. Does anyone
know how I can get the taskbar buttons working again - I've tried all the
obvious things.

Programs Aren't Minimized in the Taskbar - Line 240 -
