View Full Version : Can HTTPS sites blocked at firewall?

August 7th 06, 08:18 AM
Hi all,

Please tell me can HTTPS sites blocked at firewall?
Is there any way to breach the firewall to access https sites?

Also, when i open any site with its IP, the ip is automatically
resolved to the site name. How to prevent this to happen so that i can
open a site with its ip and not with its name.

Hi there,

The default https port is 443. Verify on firewall settings if it allows
traffic on this port.
In order to prevent web site to resolve the name.. don't know for sure, but
you can try to disable he DNS...
