My Norton anti-virus keeps telling me that I have a
W32.Welchia.Worm virus in my computer and that the anti-
virus program can do nothing about it. Computer still
works; however, I notice that drags no longer appear
smooth and, instead, "dance" across desktop. Alkso, the
system appears slower than normal, although this system
is on a single-phone-line dial-up connection. More of
a "nuisance" is the virus-alert, itself -- I cannot turn
it off, even though apparently nothing can be done about
this virus.
Can anyone offer a "dummy" advice re how exactly to
restore this system?

Have you gone to Symantec's site and read the information on the worm
and gotten the removal tool?
