Hi
It's called 'chkdsk' in Windows XP. From a command prompt type "chkdsk =
/?" - without the quotes. That will give you the options available with =
'chkdsk'.

Just right-click on the relevant drive icon in 'My Computer', choose
'Properties', go across to the 'Tools' tab and the equivalent of Scandisk is
the 'Check Now' button.
Alternatively open up a Command Prompt window and type:
CHKDSK C: /f
(replacing C: with the drive letter you actually want to scan)

If you don't say what you mean,
Then how can you ever mean what you say?

That's because there is no scandisk on Windows XP. The XP
equivalent is called chkdsk.
