This is my first visit - for help,and I'm a beginner, but
I have cleared my history bar after searching how to do
it. You can't delete one at a time, the whole lot will go
so save any sites you want to keep in favorites (go to the
favorites in the top tool bar, not the one with the star
you click on and off to show your favorites list).
TOOLS>INTERNET OPTIONS (at botton of the dropdown)>click
GENERAL tab (at the bottom of window is the History box)
>CLEAR HISTORY
