run menu

in the run box there are many commands in the drop down
can I trim them to only the ones I need.

Hi,

Those commands are ones you've already used. You can use the "clear
documents" button in the customize section of taskbar and start menu
properties, but this will clear a lot of other keys as well.

To clear just selected items, delete the corresponding strings under this
key in the registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\RunMRU
