My system has been working great. Then I install the
McAfee Clinic VirusScan (online) update and both Internet
Explorer 6.0+++ and Outlook Express 6.0.+++ crash. It I
get one of those messages that says "Internet Explorer has
encountered a problem and must shut down" and do I want to
report the problem, which I do. I tried looking at the
details of the crash, but can't tell anything. I tried
McAfee Tech support, and they say it is a Microsoft
problem. I don't know. I reset my system, but I feel
like I'm operating on less than a fully updated system
which I don't like. Does anyone know of compatability
problems with the latest version of VirusScan Online and
an Updated Windows XP Professional system? I did all of
the setup recommendations McAfee Suggested. IE & OE even
crash if McAfee is disabled or exited. But, if I reset
the system to before the update, everything works fine.
