DWWIN.EXE

When I shutdown XP Pro on my Sony laptop, I get a brief
error message related to DWWIN.EXE which indicates the
related dll file could not be initialized. The PC seems
to run OK but the message is irritating.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

I believe dwwin is "Dr Watson" - an error reporting program included in
Windows. My guess is that some process that is closed during shutdown is
generating some error message which may not be handled properly since
the system is shutting down. If all else works noramlly, I wouldn't
worry. Note that I'm no authority on the subject, but that's my educated
guess.
