hi all, a friend of mine accidently erased the hal.dll file from the system
32 folder, windows will not boot up now, it keeps asking for this file. is it
possible to take this file off my computer and put it on a pen drive and then
load the file back on to the other computer

thanks in advance,

tony

That's probably not the problem. If you're getting the message
"Winnt_root\System32\Hal.dll
missing or corrupt: Please re-install a copy of the above file, that message
is *very* misleading.
