I have a Compaq laptop with a AMD 1GHz processor. I have
operated the "Quickrestore" system total restore option,
putting my laptop back to "out of the box" settings. It
seems that once I install the SP1 update, I get this same
random spontaneous freezing of the system as well. I'm
goingto try restoring and not downloading the SP1 update.
Maybe that is the cause. If you get any new insights
tothe problem, please let me know! Thanks!
